Description
“ComeThinkAgain” aims to promote skills in the areas of
- Computational Thinking (CT) and digital competences,
- Entrepreneurship Education and innovative skills,
- Green Skills, environmental and social responsibility and sustainable development.
By developing and evaluating a standardised training and certification system, the project aims to empower teachers in higher education and vocational training. The materials will be made available as Open Educational Resources, with experimental pilot projects being carried out in Switzerland, Austria, Denmark, Germany and Estonia. The aim is to enrich teaching practice by integrating these key competencies and thus promote sustainable change in education.
“ComeThinkAgain” is being established as a new “Alliance for Education and Enterprises” to bring education and business closer together. The project covers key concepts of digital transformation such as coding, digital skills, artificial intelligence, social skills, equality and inclusion. As a result, the “ComeThinkAgain CETS” (micro-Certification based Education Training System) is being developed – an education system based on micro-certification. This system offers micro-modules for vocational and higher education in Europe that innovatively integrate current requirements and promote interaction between different subject areas. Through participatory design techniques in co-creation workshops, teachers, trainers and industry representatives are involved to ensure a hands-on approach.
The CETS modules are offered on a learning platform in online, face-to-face or hybrid formats. The platform assigns digital badges and certificates to facilitate the recognition of informal learning. The development of micro-certifications based on EU directives is intended to ensure broad acceptance and applicability at national and EU level. The modules consist of smaller, self-contained micro-modules. Each micro-module can be completed with a micro-certificate, and micro-certificates from all three areas can be combined to form higher certificates. This structure allows learners to target their education in specific areas and promotes flexible adaptation to new and emerging needs of society and the labor market.
Zurich University of Teacher Education (PH Zurich) is involved in the project as an associated partner. Its participation in the Erasmus+ program is made possible by Movetia. In addition to participating in various work packages (development of study programs with a focus on CT, co-creation workshops, etc.), two pilot projects are planned at the PH Zurich with the aim of training teachers and trainers in the aforementioned core competencies. The first pilot project is aimed at primary school teachers. The second pilot project is aimed at vocational trainers at the libs training centre in Zurich, a provider of vocational training in the Swiss mechanical, electrical and metal industry. The Swiss team will also be responsible for promoting the project in German-speaking Switzerland by organising a multiplayer event.
