University Assembly

The University Assembly is the legally anchored body that is involved in and has a say in university business and matters concerning PH Zurich. It represents the interests and concerns of the institution’s employees vis-à-vis the governing bodies.

Commissions

Three committees are on hand at PH Zurich to deal with the concerns of staff and students, as well as university-wide issues. They work in the areas of diversity, health, the environment and quality.

Associations

Alumni PHZH is an association for former students and staff of PH Zurich. The association promotes networking and collaboration among its members, especially in professional matters. It establishes the premise for a low-threshold exchange of knowledge and ideas across schools and generations, and thus strengthens its members in their professional activities.

The Association of Retired Employees of PH Zurich promotes contact among its members and with PH Zurich. Retired PH Zurich staff members in the association meet for lectures, excursions, cultural events and get-togethers with the regulars.

Networks

Together with educational stakeholders from other universities and educational organisations, PH Zurich is involved in various networks. The networks promote exchange and cooperation, contribute to the visibility and strengthening of scientific disciplines, and promote the transfer of theory into practice.

Together with the University of Education Freiburg, the Religions, Cultures and Ethics Network pursues the goal of strengthening the subject-specific education of religious studies and ethics as academic disciplines.

The Continuing Education Network regularly invites participants to meetings where topics from continuing education research are discussed and open exchange is facilitated.

With “Schulnetz 21 – cantonal network of health-promoting and sustainable primary schools in Zurich”, the PH Zurich, together with the cantonal offices for addiction prevention, supports primary schools in implementing health promotion and education for sustainable development (ESD) in their organisations in the long term and developing into a healthy and sustainable place to learn, work and live.
