Our mission
Through its work, the Office of the Vice-Rector for Teacher Education contributes to the recognition and development of the teaching profession and the quality of schools and teaching. It is responsible for the education area of expertise. This primarily includes the qualification of teaching staff for primary, secondary and vocational high schools, and the training of lecturers at universities and universities of teacher education in selected subject-specific pedagogies. The study programme they undertake is fit for the future, science-based and practice-oriented, and takes place in close collaboration with schools.
The Office of the Vice-Rector for Teacher Education includes the following departments:

- Department for Pre-Primary and Early Primary Education
- Department for Primary Education
- Department for Lower Secondary Education
- Department for Upper Secondary Education/Vocational Education
- Department for Master’s Degree Programmes in Subject-Specific Pedagogy
