International

Globalisation has brought the world closer together, as reflected in the field of education. PH Zurich thus maintains close ties with universities, networks and organisations around the world, enabling international exchange and providing new ideas in all areas of its educational offerings. At the same time, PH Zurich promotes transcultural competencies and global learning to strengthen mutual understanding and improve collaboration across cultural boundaries.
Global learning as part of the curriculum
Every year, around 100 students from the PH Zurich complete a mobility semester at a partner university, maintaining their standard period of study thanks to a fixed mobility window in the fifth semester. At the same time, an equal number of students come to PH Zurich from Switzerland and abroad. Joint programmes and modules, such as the Summer School and the Global Learning elective at lower secondary level, promote transcultural skills and international networking. PH Zurich also maintains a wide network of schools and universities abroad for foreign language internships (assistant teaching).

In exchange with other education systems
Learning is an active, individual and continuous process that takes place in a variety of social contexts around the world. PH Zurich regularly hosts international conferences and events for education researchers, lecturers and other professionals from all over the world, providing a platform to share and discuss new practices and theories. This enables participants to further develop their work while at the same time engaging in intercultural and transcultural exchange.
International projects in education
Within the framework of international educational cooperation, PH Zurich is engaged in a wide variety of projects centred on the development and implementation of educational strategies, curricular reforms, and innovative teaching methods.
