As an exchange student, you can choose from a broad range of modules offered in the degree programmes (Pre-Primary and Early-Primary, Primary, Lower Secondary).
Module lists
Most course units – so called modules – at PH Zurich are taught in Standard German. However, it is possible for exchange students to create a full semester programme (amounting to 25–30 ECTS points for the semester) with course units taught in English. PH Zurich also offers modules taught in French.

If the list for the next semester has not been published yet, you can refer to the modules from the last autumn and spring semester.
Once the application deadline has passed and you have been admitted to PH Zurich as an exchange student you will need to select your modules.
German language courses
German language courses at PH Zurich
PH Zurich offers a German language course for beginners to exchange students:

German language courses at the Language Centre of the University of Zurich and ETH Zurich
As an exchange student at PH Zurich, you can take up to two German as a Foreign Language courses per semester at the Language Centre of the University of Zurich and ETH Zurich:

Insight into the Swiss school system
The Swiss school system is known for the wide range of educational opportunities on offer, the high quality of education and the focus on equality in education. During your exchange semester, you will have the opportunity to complete a practical module that will give you an insight into the Swiss educational system.
The modules introduce the various levels of education, structures and characteristics of the Swiss educational system. You will be taught about the different types of school and the inclusive school system, while also exploring the current developments and challenges relating to educational policy in Switzerland. This will give you an in-depth understanding of the Swiss school and educational system, which will help you to understand the differences to your own educational system and potentially give you ideas and inspiration for your future career as a teacher.
