Our mission

The University Assembly takes a position on important issues concerning the university, especially when it comes to filling vacancies on the Executive Board. It represents the interests and concerns of staff and students vis-à-vis the Executive Board and has a say in university business and important matters concerning the university.

The University Assembly communicates regularly with the Members of the Executive Board and other individuals in management positions. The President of the University Assembly also stays in regular contact with their counterparts at other universities of applied sciences within the canton of Zurich.

The President and other delegates are elected to the University Assembly. All the staff categories and Offices of the Vice-Rector are represented by delegates elected to the University Assembly.

There are 30 delegates on the University Assembly in total. The subgroups are represented as follows:

15 delegates from teaching and research staff
2 delegates of the professors
6 delegates from the Staff Assembly (administrative-technical staff and assistants)
7 students from the Student Assembly (VSPHZH)
