Larissa Meyer-Baron has been working at the “Zentrum Medienbildung und Informatik” of the Zurich University of Teacher Education since the beginning of 2019. Previously, she was a primary school teacher (grades 5+6) and IT manager at a school in the canton of Schwyz (2013–2018). In 2018, she taught for nine months at the Westside German School in Vancouver, Canada.
She graduated from the Schwyz University of Teacher Education (2010–2013) with a Bachelor’s degree in Primary Education. She has also completed several training programs and certificates. These include a teacher training program (2016) and the CAS PICTS at the Zurich University of Teacher Education (2017). In 2023, she successfully completed her Master’s degree in “Didactics of Media and Informatics” at the Schwyz University of Teacher Education (joint degree with UZH, HSLU, PHLU).
Whether in research projects, continuing education courses or teacher training modules, Larissa Meyer-Baron’s work revolves around the question of how students can be supported holistically and effectively in acquiring media, computer science and application skills. In this context, an action-oriented and research-based approach plays an important role for her.
