The Department for Research on Teaching Professions and Education Systems at PH Zurich investigates the structural framework and developments of the teaching profession and the educational system. It comprises two research centres specialising in different subject areas.
Our mission
The Department for Research on Teaching Professions and Education Systems is responsible for research in this particular discipline and studies the actors and institutions that constitute and help shape the educational system.
Research on teaching professions and education systems looks at where the narratives of change originate from, what types of change are initiated and how they can be described. It also examines what is proving to be permanent or dynamically reproduced in the sphere of transformation in schools and universities.
