Description
The project “REFLECT Phase II” (hereafter REFLECT) aims to strengthen the feedback culture in the educational system of Moldova. This is achieved through the implementation of high-quality lesson observations, feedback mechanisms, and reflective practices in pre- and in-service teacher training in five Moldovan partner universities. The project provides training and support to partner institutions so they can adopt the REFLECT approach, in which teachers collaborate to develop their teaching skills through a peer-to-peer support system.
The target groups are mainly lecturers and trainers at the pre-and in-service training institutions in four regions in Moldova. They will develop course programs with which Moldovan teachers, school principals, teacher trainers, and representatives in District Education Departments can be reached in the further course of the project and beyond.
The REFLECT approach is based on a pilot phase that took place in Moldova from 2021 to 2022. It centers on the idea of participation, peer exchange, and counselling, where the advising teacher and the teacher seeking advice have similar experiences or are in comparable situations.
REFLECT is part of the framework program “Fostering Active Civic Education“ by the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation and a project of the Department for International Projects in Education.
