About

Corinna Borer, Dr rer. nat., has been a scientific associate in the International Education Development department (IB) since 2012. She focuses on the areas of career orientation and transversal competences, transcultural learning and project management.

She studied biotechnology and cell culture technology at the University of Applied Sciences Saxony-Anhalt and the Technical University of Braunschweig, where she graduated and completed her dissertation. After completing her studies, she worked in research and teaching at the Zurich University of Applied Sciences in Winterthur from 2005 to 2008. She also worked as a research assistant at Straumann AG. In these positions, she gained extensive experience in the project management of international research projects, which were carried out in collaboration with universities, universities of applied sciences, medical institutions, companies and various third-party funding organisations.

Her aim is always to become familiar with the local context and to adapt the objectives of the project to the needs of the partners’ respective education systems.

Focus on research, teaching, services

• Management, acquisition, planning and conception of cooperation projects in the field of international educational development.
• Project examples: JOBS in Romania, DOCCU in Ukraine, JOBS in Moldova and human resources development, REFLECT in Moldova, BTBF in Armenia, Georgia and Moldova.
• Implementation of international education projects, including monitoring, evaluation of project contribution and financial management.
• Management of international partnerships such as universities, ministries of education, non-governmental organizations and interest groups.
• Organization of and participation in training courses in cooperation with partner institutions.
• Supervision of master theses.
