What we offer
The Department for International Projects in Education has been working with notable partners in Switzerland and abroad for more than ten years. Thanks to these many years of experience in collaborating on international education projects, the department is able to develop training and continuing education programmes that do justice to the education landscape and its stakeholders. Among other things, this involves understanding curricula, an institution’s structures, the educational background of a teacher in a region and the needs of the region; for example, the improved integration of minorities in a school class.
The training and continuing education programmes designed by the Department for International Projects in Education are developed and run together with the client. The focus is on providing training for multipliers who, depending on the target group, can pass their skills on to colleagues. This allows a sustainable continuing education structure to be established in the regions.
It is essential to combine science-based concepts with opportunities for practical application during continuing education, so that participants are able to apply and test their knowledge and the associated skills directly after acquiring them. The training programmes therefore include several parts, with phases for reflection that alternate with phases for practical experience.
Objectives
Tailored continuing education programmes for teachers and school principals bolster the entire education system in a country. If multipliers are also trained who in turn can offer what they have learned as part of continuing education, the knowledge will remain in a school or organisation for a long time. The Department for International Projects in Education at PH Zurich always aims to ensure that continuing education programmes are professionally sound, adapted to the target group and sustainable.
