Maria Görlich is a PhD Candidate in the project DEEP – Professionalization (led by Prof. Dr. Barbara Getto). Her research focuses on teachers’ competencies in addressing the digital divide. Within this context, a new scale was developed to assess teachers’ competencies in supporting students affected by the digital divide. In addition, in-depth interviews with stakeholders are being conducted to examine the conditions necessary for competent support in primary education.
In her broader academic work, Maria Görlich combines quantitative and qualitative approaches and research on professionalization in educational institutions in the context of digital transformation.
Maria Görlich completed her master and teacher training (Referendariat) for primary school and worked as a teacher. She also earned a master in educational sciences and served as a lecturer.
