Our mission
Education should not only impart knowledge but also contribute to people being able to live together peacefully and sustainably. Schools and universities should therefore promote self-competence, social competence and methodological and analytical skills, while also practising the principles of democracy and sustainability.
Those who have a good understanding of themselves, can communicate clearly and share responsibility consciously are able to make better decisions. In an increasingly globalised world, it is important to be aware of one’s own identity and influence, while also being open to external contributions and developments.
The Centre for Global Education and Cooperation covers topics such as general didactics, life and future skills, democratic education, transcultural learning, professional orientation, inclusive education and sustainability. The centre carries out international education projects and takes on a wide range of mandates in these areas. It collaborates with schools, universities, NGOs, and education authorities at national and international levels. Key working principles include the use of co-creation, the systemic integration of cooperation, and the United Nations’ 2030 Agenda.
