The Vice Chancellor is responsible for all colleges at the RUB, including teacher training at the Colleges of Education in Paro and Samtse. The meeting provided an opportunity to discuss the possibilities of future academic cooperation between the RUB and PH Zurich. The guests were particularly interested in PH Zurich’s study programmes and possible continuing education programmes in the subject of science education, and in the field of international relations. In addition, there was a lively dialogue about current challenges and developments in the education sectors of the respective countries. It is encouraging to note that concrete plans for cooperation have already resulted from the meeting, specifically for an exchange programme.

The visit was organised by Claudio Zingg, President of the Society Switzerland-Bhutan, and Marianne Frei, former Head of Admissions at PH Zurich.
