The shortened and vocationally integrated Quest courses from PH Zurich are aimed at professionals with a university degree. The Swiss Conference of Cantonal Ministers of Education (EDK) has recently amended its regulations: those who already have a university degree and three years of work experience (full-time or part-time, spread over a maximum of eight years) will now be able to apply for admission to one of the three Quest degree programmes at PH Zurich from the age of 27 (instead of 30 as before). Students graduate from Quest certificate programmes with a teaching diploma for pre-primary and early-primary, primary or lower secondary education. The course is offered in different vocationally integrated models, is shortened by one year and takes between two and three-and-a-half years to complete, depending on the target level and study model. According to the EDK decision, those already teaching at a public school in the canton of Zurich without a teaching diploma are admitted to the admissions procedure “sur dossier” (in German) from the age of 27.

For the admission process to the regular full-time and part-time programs at PH Zurich, the existing admission requirements apply.
