Location and getting to the campus

Arrival by public transport

To get to the PH Zurich campus from Zurich’s main railway station, take the “Europaallee” exit; the campus is right by the station. The buildings LAA, LAB and LAC can be reached via the stairs, the building LAD via Kasernenstrasse and Lagerstrasse (Lagerstrasse 5).

If travelling by tram or bus, take tram line 3 or 14, or bus line 31 to the “Sihlpost” stop:

Parking is only available for visitors with reduced mobility, so we recommend using public transport.

From the campus square, you can easily access the three buildings LAA, LAB and LAC.

The large lecture hall is one of the many rooms offered by the university.

The PH Zurich campus is right at the heart of the city of Zurich, conveniently located next to the main train station.

The campus borders the busy Europaallee.

Reception

The reception in the foyer of the LAA building is the first place to report to when visiting PH Zurich. Among other things, the receptionists there are responsible for taking and making phone calls, for receiving and sending post, and are also in charge of logging, holding and returning lost property.

Location and getting to the Leut­schen­­tower

At Leutschenbachstrasse 50 in Zurich Oerlikon, in the Leutschen­tower, PH Zurich operates its Collaborative Learning Lab (collab). It is located on the second floor of the Leutschen­tower. On the first floor, PH Zurich also occupies office space.

Arrival by public transport

The Leutschen­tower is within walking distance of Zurich Oerlikon railway station. From Zurich Oerlikon Station as well as from Zurich Main Station, you can take tram lines 10 or 11 to the “Oerlikerhus” stop.

Parking spaces are available only for visitors with reduced mobility. We recommend travelling by public transport.

Accessibility

To get to the campus square, wheelchair-accessible lifts are available at former Credit Suisse (corner of Sihlpost) and at Lagerstrasse near the Lernmedien-Shop. For people with reduced mobility, the underground garage at the LAC building has a parking lot with direct access to a lift that takes you directly to the LAA building.

Toilets for people with reduced mobility are available on all floors. There are no thresholds in the buildings.

Access to the PH Zurich Library

The library in the LAA building is not fully accessible for people with reduced mobility without assistance. If this is required, you can report to the reception desk in the LAA building foyer from Monday to Friday from 9 am to 5 pm. A library staff member will then escort you into the library via the lift and through the side doors. If you are unable to come to the library during the above times, please contact the Saturday and Evening Service team directly.

The distance between the gates in the foyer of the library and between the shelves is 90 cm.

The Europaallee campus has a total of 24 designated all-gender toilets, spread across three buildings and various floors (see the letter in the room designation).

Using the campus

Whether lunch in the cafeteria, a visit to one of the libraries or participation in an event – in addition to students and staff, numerous visitors use the rooms and facilities on the PH Zurich campus. They must abide by the following directive.
